What's New With You these days?  

​Our first SAM Roundtable meeting for January, 2025, will be on Zoom only and take place on Wednesday, January 8, 9:30 a.m. CST.  Instead of  our usual topic format, this meeting will feature sharing of what's new in our lives: have you learned anything new lately, suffered a loss or setback, welcomed a newcomer to the family?  If you're out of town, let us know, besides the weather, what's interesting to you.  Other short items could be, what are you reading, painting, or singing? Even funny stories or jokes.

Organizational Meeting and Wrap Up of November Discussion

This meeting has two items on the agenda,

1) a continuation of the Federal election discussion on how our participants plan to cope with the results.

2) Then decisions on Roundtable format for January through March, hybrid or Zoom-only, and volunteers to lead these sessions, either on  Zoom or in person. ( Mike Johnson will serve as host if needed, but not as discussion leader.) New topics are welcome, no prior experience needed! Everyone is expected to take their turn.

Federal Election: Discussion of Results
The Roundtable is meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 13 instead of our usual first Wednesday in order to have more information available. Hopefully, the final presidential outcome will be known by then, and surely how most individual states voted. THE SUPREME COURT'S IMPACT ON ELECTIONS, WILL THEIR DECISIONS MAKE A DIFFERENCE? Our Roundtable discussion this month will be hybrid,and led by Roundtable member, Mort Denlow.   Mort, a retired federal judge, will review some recent Court election law decisions and help us work through how these cases might impact the up-coming federal elections.

Join us in person at North Shore Senior Center or on Zoom beginning at about 9:30 a.m. and continuing for about an hour.  Mike Johnson will be the Zoom host and will come on line early to help with technical issues and introduce meeting participants.
