When: January 15 at 10:00am
Where: Clark Street Beach

The SAM Walking group will commence from the Clark Street beach at 10:00 AM on 1/15,  and walk north through the campus.

If the weather is unfavorable, I will notify by text message that the venue will be changed to the Crown center on Main and Asbury.

December 20 - North Branch of the Chicago River

Where: North Branch of the Chicago River

The walk this month will be on the North Branch of the Chicago River path, beginning from the parking lot on Harms just north of Old Orchard Rd.

The route goes north to Golf Road, about 1.5 mile.

If you signed up on the website or contacted me directly,  I will send a message by 9:00 if the walk is cancelled due to  weather conditions.

When: Wednesday, November 15 @ 10:30am
Where: Glenview Woods

We will meet at the Glenview Woods towards the rear of the parking lot at 10:30 am for the walk. The parking lot is just north of Old Orchard Rd on Harms. The path is level gravel and we'll be walking south. This is not the paved bicycle path that runs along Harms.

If the weather is un-accommodating, Plan B will be the Crown Center indoors.
Please be sure to check for my text message no later than 9 am if the venue is changed to the Crown. Crown Center in Evanston.

Oct 25 - Clark Street Beach

When: Wednesday, October 25th at 10:00 am
Where: Meet at the Clark Street Beach in Evanston

The first walk of the season will meet at the Clark Street beach in Evanston on Wednesday, October 25 at 10:00am.

I would like to try some different venues in the coming months and solicit suggestions from the walkers.

Some suggestions include The 606, Skokie lagoons, North Branch trail off Harms Road, or other trails you might be familiar with around the area.
