When: October 23 at 1:30 pm
Where: Hybrid!!
Location: North Shore Senior Center, 161 Northfield Road, Northfield
Zoom: Link below
The group met this week to discuss "The Ride of Her Life", a true account of a senior woman travelling across the country in 1954 via horseback and all her various encounters in small town America of that time. Many thanks to Gordie Kaplan for leading a very interesting discussion.
Going forward, our next book is "A Portrait of an artist as a young man", by James Joyce. Bob Ward and Alan Greene will be facilitators to discuss this classic on Wed, Oct.23. Again, this will be a hybrid meeting with in-person attendance at the No. Shore Sr. Center.
And as this book will be the last in our 4 mo. sequence, we look for your suggestions of books to choose from - we will vote on them prior to the Oct. meeting. So please start sending in your recommendations. Mark Simon suggested you might look at the NY Times list of 100 best books for ideas.
OK, all for now. Hope to see many of you at our next meeting. And Happy Reading.
