When: February 14 at 1:30pm. The Maltese Falcon.
Where: Hybrid with in person at North Shore Senior Center, 161 Northfield Road, Northfield
Thank you to Bob Ward for giving the group extensive information about The Rules of the Game and leading an engaging discussion on January 10. As one member expressed, "I always appreciate the films more after our discussions."
On February 14 we will discuss The Maltese Falcon, a 1941 film credited by some as the first film noir. Humphrey Bogart stars as the hard-boiled private detective Sam Spade. This was the first film directed by John Huston and the first film role for Sydney Greenstreet. Other stars are Peter Lorre and Mary Astor. A masterful story of characters more than plot.
The film is available at local libraries. It can be rented on AppleTV, Amazon Prime, You Tube, Google Play movies, and Fandango At Home.
It may be available for free on TubiTV.com. Remember to watch the film beforehand and then join our discussion.
